THIS YEAR

This year, I will keep Christmas as a light of hope for my heart, A holy sanctuary for my soul, A quiet blessing for my spirit. This year, I will keep Christmas far from frantic malls, Safe from hectic profit schemes, Apart from secular hype and stress. This year, I will keep Christmas content as baby slumber, Silent as angel presence, Peaceful as constant prayer. This year, I will keep Christmas as Emmanuel, God with me. Alive in me. This year, I will keep Christmas by being kept in Love, Peace, and Joy...

Healing and Wholeness

John Sanford, who was a Jungian analyst and Episcopal priest, believed that sometimes our illness is an integral part of our individuation (becoming whole). He thought that some illnesses persisted until we have been led to a spiritual destination or goal. Then, they are alleviated in such a way that, as a result OF OUR SEARCH FOR HEALING, we become entirely new and more whole people. He did not say that we would be in perfect health-that we would not need new knees or medical intervention but that we would be more whole. I think that we sometimes have a narrow view of what wholeness means and what healing means. Does curing mean wholeness? I would like to know what you think.

REALLY BIG CELEBRATION

I had a really big, advanced age birthday last week. Some would, and did, say that I was the most imature person of that age that they know (I think that is a compliment). This party was hosted by members representing four growth groups that I have facilitated over the past years. Their love and appreciation showed very moment of the day and the wonderfully touching book that they prepared is a treasure of great love and affirmation!. The whole day was one of wonder and grace and healing! Thanks to White Rose, Dream Catchers, Lifescope and FUMC. Here's to Sequel 5! The Healing Journey continues...

ALIVE

ALIVE

We can be birthed again
An inner marriage of
Spirit and self
Can create
New Consciousness

As membranes of old fears rupture
Holy waters of
Faith
Wisdom
Insight
Baptize lifeless
Habits
Beliefs
Hatreds

Then...
Nourished by prayer and communion
We flourish...
Wholly alive
Born...Again!

The Power of Image-The Gift of Grace

Chronic physical pain dominated my life in the 1980's. Using Biogenics learned at the Shealy Pain Clinic, I began an extraordinary holistic recovery which far exceeded relief from chronic pain. DREAM POWER is a non-fiction book that is based on my PhD research study which explores my seven year healing journey that was mediated by spontaneous waking dreams. After the onset of these waking dreams, I began to study archetypes, the chakra system of the body, and the power of imaging. As extraordinary as it seemed at the time, I began to suspect that through my waking dreams, I was accessing archetypal images which interacted synergistically with my energy system (chakras) to manifest healing/wholeness/individuation. This study chronicles my healing journey and analyzes and discusses this experience-the interplay of archetypes(dream forms) and chakras (energy system).
